Dry wax canvas – strong yet supple with character.
Product description
Beautiful dry wax canvas. This fabric is water-repellent: water does not fully run off like oilskin, but it also does not penetrate. The canvas has a matte look, feels soft and has the perfect weight for bags, backpacks, messenger bags or parkas. Unlike oilskin or beeswax-treated fabrics, it does not develop lighter fold marks when creased. The wax adds structure and gives the fabric its characteristic used look.
Processing tips:
- Washing and ironing: Hand wash only – iron at low temperature – do not use steam.
- Interfacing: Fusible interfacing can be applied, but only at low temperature and without steam. Warm wax reacts with steam droplets and may cause stains that are difficult to remove.
- Needle: This fabric is densely woven and may show perforation marks. Use the finest possible (Microtex) needle suitable for the thickness.
