Quickfuse
QuickFuse – the magic is in the glue
QuickFuse is one of those materials you truly understand once you’ve worked with it.
We offer QuickFuse in different thicknesses. Each version has its own purpose.
QuickFuse Skin
The Skin version is as thin as skin.
Perfect when you want to remove the stretch from a fabric without adding bulk. For example, ideal for stabilising faux leather without making it stiff or heavy.
You keep the flexibility, but you remove the stretch. Sometimes that is exactly what you need.
QuickFuse Soft
QuickFuse Soft is a medium woven fusible cotton.
It adds structure and stability and is perfect for bag linings. If you want a lining that doesn’t collapse, this is your go-to.
Compared to Vlieseline G700, QuickFuse Soft is slightly thicker. In other words: ideal for bags.
QuickFuse Canvas
This is the magic one.
QuickFuse Canvas turns almost any fabric into canvas weight.
See a beautiful cotton print or fabric you love, but it isn’t sturdy enough for a bag? Fuse QuickFuse Canvas to it and instantly you have bag-ready fabric.
No compromise. No floppy bag. Just structure.
What makes QuickFuse special?
The glue.
The entire back is coated with adhesive. It bonds quickly at a low temperature.
Around 95 °C (wool setting) and only 3–4 seconds per spot.
Important: no steam. Always use a dry iron.
This stabiliser is produced especially for us, so it cannot be compared one-to-one with other interfacings.
About your iron
Do not use a “smart” iron that controls the temperature automatically.
QuickFuse is designed to bond at low temperature. If you go higher than the wool setting (around 95 °C), you can damage the adhesive.
For bag making, simple irons often work best. Control and low temperature matter more than technology.
QuickFuse is not just an interfacing. It’s a building material for bags.
And once you use it, you’ll understand why.
